Scrumptious Scrapbook Retreats

April Retreat at Scrapbook Heaven was Great!

Posted on: May 5, 2010

Britta Duncan and her cool computer!

Britta brought the prettiest computer I have ever seen! That is right, I said pretty. The whole thing was complete in her monitor which has a touch screen. It was amazing! Even though she was digitally scrapping at this retreat her comments included, “loved the hands on Make N Takes” and really loved having the different levels of scrappers”.

Brenda Gauper taking a quick water break!

Brenda loves trips and her photos show that she and her husband love the outdoors. She is already planning to scrap her Yellowstone adventure at the July retreat!

Donna Barker enjoying her creative side!

Donna Barker loves to scrap with her childhood buddy, Kathy Ksnedrow. Since they live in different parts of Oregon, they use the retreats as a time to catch up on the news.

Kathy Ksnedrow pauses from the joy of scrapping!

Kathy has a very talented family with children attending the rival schools OSU and U of O. She has an OSU sticker on one side of her van and a U of O sticker on the other side. I bet civil war games will always be exciting at her house…they can’t loose!

Shelley Goff the Queen of Embellishing!

Shelley Goff is amazing with embellishing. She is always willing to help others with ideas and donations from her ample stash of embellishments. Of course, Shelley is actually a scrapbook professional and teaches classes for Technique Tuesday. She is teaching several classes this month at Scattered Pictures scrapbook store up near the Portland Airport. Check out some of her layouts in the gallery!

Tanya Botsford, a happy scrapper!

Tanya won a free retreat day, by entering her name in our drawing box in December at the Rex Putnam High School Holiday Bazaar. That may not be the official name of the event, but any way she was the lucky winner. Tanya was amazing at finding the prettiest things that each cricut cartridge had to offer!

Patty Loynd, our technique teacher!

Patty Loynd’s goal was to finish her scrapbook of a wonderful trip that she took when she was younger. She was actually removing the photos from the old style albums that will damage the pictures and creating new pages using acid free paper and putting them in a Close To My Heart album so they will be protected for a long time. In addition, Patty taught a popular class on how to make Interactive Pages which you can see in our scrapbook gallery.
